Bill the Goat is The Naval Academy Mascot. The U.S. Navy has had a goat as its mascot since 1890 when, according to legend, on their march from the ferry station at Highland Falls up the steep hill to West Point to play the first Army-Navy football game, the Naval Cadets (as they were then known) saw a goat outside the NonCom's houses at West Point and promptly commandeered "Billy" for their mascot. Since that time the goat has remained as the recognized mascot of the U.S. Naval Academy.

Rowdy is the mascot of the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) in USA. He is an animal mascot anthropomorphic bird called roadrunner, a fast-running bird that has a long tail and a crest and also called a chaparral bird and a chaparral cock.

He was named after former University of Miami residential college, San Sebastian Hall (Sebastian building) which became a University dormitory in 1939. Monte (short for Montana) is the mascot of The University of Montana. He is a grizzly bear, was born in the mountains of Missoula in the Fall of 1993. In 2002 Monte became the first winner of the Capital One Bowl's "Mascot of the Year" contest. He won again in 2004 National Champion Mascot of the Year (Capital One/ ESPN) and was nominated three other times.
